Cambridge’s thriving tech community is being encouraged to take part in techUK’s AI Campaign Week 2025, a national initiative aimed at accelerating the UK’s leadership in artificial intelligence.

Running from 12 to 16 May, the week-long programme will bring together thought leaders, researchers, and industry voices to shape the future of AI innovation and adoption.

The call for submissions is now open, with techUK inviting blogs, video insights, and real-world case studies from across the country. With Cambridge already playing a pivotal role in the UK’s AI landscape — from pioneering research at the University of Cambridge to a host of AI startups and scale-ups — the city’s contribution is expected to be significant.

Submissions are due by 7 May and can cover a wide range of topics, including ethical AI practices, digital infrastructure, compute capability, workforce skills, and successful AI adoption stories. Contributors can submit written blogs (600–1000 words), vlogs (3–6 minutes), or video statements (up to 2 minutes).

A Week to Spotlight UK Strengths in AI

Each day of the campaign will focus on a key area critical to scaling AI in the UK. These include:

  • Leadership & Innovation: How the UK can stay ahead in global AI development.
  • Adoption & Impact: Real-world success stories and overcoming barriers to implementation.
  • Assurance & Ethics: Building trust through transparency and accountability.
  • Infrastructure & Compute: Laying the digital foundations for scalable AI.
  • Skills & Talent: Closing the AI skills gap and creating inclusive pathways into AI careers.

This campaign is about spotlighting the UK’s strengths while tackling the real challenges of scaling AI safely and inclusively

For Cambridge-based experts, this is not just a chance to share expertise but to influence policy and best practice across the country.
