Police are seeking help after a series of bin fires have caused concern in Trumpington, Cambridge. CCTV images of a man are being circulated as part of the investigation into at least seven fire incidents since February 17.
Firefighters have responded to multiple bin fires, with some incidents involving several fires at once. A particularly alarming fire occurred on Addenbrooke’s Road, where flames in a bin store below flats caused a window to crack and smoke to enter a property. Fortunately, the occupant was unharmed. A similar fire was also reported on Cornwell Road the same night.
Police have confirmed that they are linking all these incidents and are urging anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV footage to come forward. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to identify the individual responsible for these dangerous acts. If you have any information, please contact the police.
